a collection of unreleased music from an undisclosed source going by the codename of „abstract tune“, possibly produced around the early 90’s, was recently acquired through a fortuitous dat discovery in an italian vintage market by alpha 2000’s retrieval team.

part of the current crop of artists spearheading the uk acid revival, posthuman s output has evolved over the years, encompassing many genres & styles from their early electronica releases, to their later acid & slow-mo techno. their debut release in 2000 was a series of hand made cds simply called -posthuman- (though better known by the colour of the card inserts grey, black, blue and brown). the duo then went on to host a number of parties in an abandoned underground train station in london between 2001 and 2004, and founded their own label seed records (2) with which they released 3 albums and several other releases of their own and other artists material. they also were the first act on manchester based imprint skam s smak sublabel. doherty left seed records to help relaunch uk techno imprint b12 records in 2006, and started a new label balkan vinyl in 2010. in 2007, doherty founded london-based acid house retrospective clubnight i love acid- where posthuman are monthly resident djs. in 2014 the clubnight launched a vinyl-only label of the same name. he also performs as agt rave cru and as one half of altern 8 live shows since 2015.

dope plates 005 brings retro flavours from some of the scenes freshest talent. north london based sicknote delivers a beautiful rolling track called -2000 ad-. east asia based brit scape comes with some serious ambient amen pressure with -escapism- and u.s producer mark kloud ends the release with his superb track -strength-.

3 track ep from the one and only kaidi tatham, on 2000black. kaidi tatham returns as a solo artist for the first time since the very sought after japanese release in search of hope this ep see s mr tatham explore jazz fusion,hip hop and soundtrack music with great arrangements warm analogue synths and a groove thats always strong.

finish techno pioneer and dum records boss kimmo rapatti aka mono junk and melody boy 2000 is back with another fine ep of some of his greatest tracks. all three have been released before now, but never all together on the same ep. a1 sound stealer was released in 2007 under the melody boy 200 alias and since then has been hugely sought after, often fetching high prices on discogs. it is a high impact techno track with racing drums and chattery percussion that will take any floor by storm. a2 all alone, again as melody boy 2000, has only been released on cd before now, as part of a label compilation back in 2002. this one is deep and rubbery, spaced out and elastic and is full of moodiness and melody. both b-side tracks were written as mono junk and both were written in 1992. first up, apache acid came on vinyl own music man and is a face melting, hundred miler per hour banger with manic 303s buried within. finally, ‘beyond the darkness’ was a key early techno track to come from finland and has previously been released on dum010. says the artist of the track, “an ensoniq asr-10 arrived on the market and studio engineer perttu bought it right away, but i never liked to use sounds that someone else had made. we sampled the track’s bassline, strings and others from my jx-3p separately and mixed it all together.” the result is an atmospheric track with swirling pads, icy synths and form drums that will make people march, no doubt.

two thousand has always been the official symbol of the future. two thousand has been told, represented, drawn and played centuries before the year two thousand. and now it s past. -i don t wanna get rid of this: all the changes you re making now, will simply belong to two thousand. we belong to two thousand-. white label 10- w/ unknown edits that dig heavily into jazz samples but they go beyond, creating sonic impro jams including menacing low pitched arpeggios, celestial breaks of synths and far away lights of a black continent pulsating under the crisp mastering work. included is a nice printed poster with artwork from 2000 himself.

we are happy to welcome back dego & the 2000 black family on neroli again after their previous banger and instant classic * find a way* from 2013. here they walk in similar territories with *don t stop (let it go)* a disco-boogie monster with strings to die for courtesy of izzi dunn. on the flipside the acid stomper * save it til later* with that unique dego twist. essential!!!

cromby is an exciting addition to the london house music scene: originally hailing from belfast he has made camp in the british capital and brought his mpc 2000 xl with him. the young man who has grown up listening to chez damier and moodymann makes use of the japanese sampler from akai in a highly fresh and creative way combining raw drums with sweet and melancholic pads and chords. on his * planets and parks ep* cromby displays a very nice balance between a traditional deep house understanding and a forward thinking attitude and is thus just perfect for tenderparks’s idea of musicality. as far as the artwork of the record is concerned the beautiful black and white image is the last part of tenderparks current series concieved by art director till sperrle and photographer magdalena bichler. and as you ve come to expect from tenderpark all tracks have been mastered and cut by helmut erler at dubplates & mastering once more.

last spotted together on the cut some three years ago with their eponymous debut lp, the crew like kaidi tatham, akwasi mensah, matt lord, and dego ‘ranks’ mcfarlane reunite for this fresh 2000black 12&#8243,,,,,. off the christmas card list is apparently a precursor to a second album from the quartet and it’s the last 12&#8243,,,,, in a fine year for 2000black that saw the killer dego lp as the centrepiece. the a-side is dedicated to the title cut, an endlessly slinky boogie number that really showcases the collective musicality of this crew, whilst the b-side is split between “hurry whilst they are away” and “fila high”. the former is bugged out beat down west london-style, and the latter a killer latin-flecked cut.

after one new ep from coopers kim rapattis dum records is re-releasing some of his biggest classics on this douple a-side release. mono junk’s channel b was first time on vinyl on trope records 1995 and melody boys monotone fantastique on dum records 1994 (dum-014). never ending grooves for you pleasure.

first, let me pay homage to institubes and the codeine generation who discovered red bull in 2003. para one, teki and tacteel were on the front line just like us making the french scene stronger and even more exciting after the first french touch wave. in 2004 for the fourth release on ed banger we were looking for french artists who were killing it, pushing boudaries, those we wish we had signed. three names: para one, feadz jackson. both feadz and para one accepted to remix krazy baldhead’s first ep, this record is very special to me, we pressed 2000 copies.

the new bulgarian label caph comes up with their first release with 3 original classic tracks from the talented french duo zendid and a rework by the odd boys. definitely a record with a personality. limited 300 copies / no repress.

the italian slok consider himself more a great pasta chef than an underground contemporary electronic music artist...by the way, he had big influence on the italian breakbeat, drumnbass and jungle scene with his two debut albums they call it jungle and freak 2000, both produced for the renowned irma records. after a natural change to electronic and personal house music beats and sounds in 2006, the international club hit lonely child, released with the collaboration of satoshi tomiie & hector romeros saw recordings label (defmix production), boosted his musical career quickly. his discography also includes releases and remixes on hi profile records labels like get physical music, my favorite robot, circle music, one records, turbo, om, harthouse, plastic fantastic (stereonova), futic tokyo and many more. he currently runs on his own imprint electronic petz, a structure created for support brand new talented electronic music minds. in 2010 he released two different albums: rain, on alex flatners label circle music germany, and the fat pasta grooves on electronic petz. after an intense studio work and sounds research, the year 2012 promises to be full of new collaborations including the release of a new artist album and a live set.

this is a really strong release from viper and they have once again enlisted the production talents of metrik. on the flip he links up with vocal legend kathy brown to really put the finishing touches to this epic release.
